1. Business Punk and The Return-on-Investment Question

“Caught between creative audacity and economic rationality—that tension is everywhere. Beyond simple cost–benefit analysis: tell us about the moment when an unconventional idea first generated a measurable, significant added value for your business.”

During our internal SWAT event with our agency Scholz & Friends, ideas turned into solutions within two days – almost finished and ready to decide on, far more tangible than a sketch, a text, or a mood board. On paper, many approaches might not have been that convincing. But once AI helped turn them into visuals, films, product ideas, or app concepts, they became instantly clear and sparked something in everyone. That’s how bold work isn’t debated to death – it’s budgeted and brought to life right away. That’s why some of these ideas also made it straight into our marketing calendar.

2. Business Punk and The Impact Check

“‘Creative Impact’ is the motto. Yet despite this ambition, groundbreaking ideas often fail due to internal processes or resistance in the meeting room. How do you ensure in your day-to-day work that a bold vision actually becomes a real and sustainable success?”

Creative Impact” sounds inspiring – until it meets process reality. Bold ideas don’t fail because they’re risky, but because systems aren’t built to enable them. What helps is mindset: a positive, innovation-friendly attitude. We encourage teams and partners to use creativity wherever it’s possible – supported by the right tools and clear guardrails. The final decision always stays human. Because the most successful McDonald’s campaigns, like “We should’ve gone to McDonald’s” are rooted in something deeply human: a real fan truth. And that’s not replaceable.

3. Business Punk and The Tech Matter

“ADC 2026 puts a strong focus on tech. Beyond efficiency gains and automated workflows: which technological development or tool has most fundamentally changed your work recently—or opened up an entirely new strategic possibility?”

We are at a turning point in marketing with the use of AI. AI will fundamentally change how we work today—from ideation and production through to media. The biggest shift is not about doing the same work faster. It’s about making ideas tangible early on, so creativity becomes a shared language across teams—and decisions become easier. As a result, the strategic lever in marketing is shifting: away from lengthy alignment processes and toward faster clarity, better collaboration, and bolder decisions.

4. Business Punk and The Ego Competition

“The debate around AI vs. human ability dominates the conversation. Where do you see AI’s objectively greatest strengths within your company’s value chain? And which human capability—be it intuition, empathy, or vision—will never be replaceable by a machine for your company’s success?”

AI can quickly generate many variations and speed up processes – from the initial idea to execution. However, good ideas do not emerge from data alone; they arise from a human insight or observation that many people can relate to. Such insights come from experience, intuition, and a genuine understanding of people and our brand. AI can help develop ideas and make them visible – but which of them truly matters is ultimately decided by humans.

In the future, the decisive factor will not be whether AI or humans win, but how the two work together in the best possible way.

5. Business Punk and The Skill Stock

“If you had to bet on one skill today to stay relevant in the years to come, what would it be? And what should the C-suite learn from creatives—and creatives from business leaders—to achieve success together?”

If I had to bet on one skill, it would be curiosity paired with craft. The mindset to explore what’s possible – and the discipline to turn it into something people genuinely care about. Leaders should learn from creatives how to live with uncertainty and give ideas room to grow. Creatives, in turn, should understand how economic reality works.

And one more thing: dare to be braver. Creativity is allowed to be bold.

6. Business Punk and The ‘Dogma Question’

“Every industry has its sacred cows and phrases no one can stand hearing anymore. Which outdated business dogma or hollow piece of industry ‘wisdom’ should we finally lay to rest at this year’s ADC?”

I want to bury the sentence: “AI will replace creatives.” AI is reshaping how marketing works – that’s real. But the campaigns people truly love still to start with something deeply human: a fan truth that makes you smile. Work built on a real fan truth moves people. It sticks in memory, sparks emotion, and spreads organically – millions of times over.
